Fancy Presentation Grade Civil War era officer's sword with excellent relief cast figural grip showing bear at the pommel and snake wrapping around the guard. Cast silver grip shows angel playing organ. Fancy bearhead on finial of guard. The blade is marked "Clauberg Iron Proof" and was fancy etched and gold washed. The blade has a coating of rust and erosion and the scabbard is fully restored with body a possible oldreplacement. Est.: $2000-$4000
